Discovering the right fabrics
When starting out on my journey with fileep casual wear, i wanted to create good quality clothing that not only looked good but also felt good to wear and extremely comfortable, whilst experimenting with fabrics I noticed that organic cotton immediately felt much softer to the skin and had this unexpected appeal for me to wear the clothing all the time. So, I decided to read up on organic fabrics and organic cottons in particular and what i found out was very interesting.
Heidi Yellen frequency of fabrics
In 2003 a Jewish doctor named Heidi Yellen conducted a study on the frequencies of fabric. According to this study, each fabric gives off a frequency that can be measured in mHz (megaHertZ). Organic cotton has a tested value of 110 mHz, polyester around 10 mHz. The human body has a signature frequency of 100 mHz, and organic cotton is also the same or similar as the human body at 110 mHz. The study showed that if the frequency of clothing fabrics is lower than 100 mHz, it actually puts a strain on the body. A diseased person generally measures 15 mHz and that is where polyester, rayon, and silk register. Non organic cotton registers a signature frequency of about 70 mHz.
